CBD oil is believed to provide a lot of health benefits and one of the most promising is its perceived ability to help with anxiety and depression. Further research is still needed but the evidence we have so far does look very promising. For more information about how you can use CBD as a remedy for pain, check out Sensei CBD & Hemp Oil.
Many people who suffer from anxiety and depression are likely already using CBD oils in some form to help them manage the symptoms. But how does something like CBD oil help with conditions like anxiety and depression?
Unsurprisingly it all comes down to how the CBD oil is made. CBD oil is produced by using cannabidiol which is itself extracted from cannabis plants and then used to create CBD oil. It is believed that the cannabidiol in the oil interacts with your bodies neurotransmitters and this, in turn, helps relieve anxiety.
It is also believed that CDB oil increases the “reward” neurotransmitters which means you get greater levels of serotonin and dopamine which will be a big help when it comes to tackling issues like anxiety and depression. There is a lot of evidence to support these claims however it’s also important to note that a lot of research was carried out using marijuana-based oils.
CBD oils that are more commonly (and legally) available have a lower concentration and are hemp-based. This means it is impossible to get high of using them, while marijuana-based oils are much more potent and there is stronger legislation when it comes to their usage.
It makes sense that CBD oils with an increased potency would provide stronger results but the fact of the matter is for many people who want to use CBD oils for issues like anxiety and depression the only option you can really explore is hemp-based oils without a medical prescription.
The good news, however, is that hemp-based oils do have evidence to show they could work as well. While much of the research is with marijuana-based oils hemp-based CBD oils have also been looked at and the findings are promising. One of the other advantages to using CBD oils is that evidence also suggests there is a lack of side-effects.
While more traditional medications for issues like anxiety and depression can cause a wide range of different side-effects which can sometimes make the existing issue even worse. So, let’s answer the question can CBD oil help you with anxiety and depression?
What We Know So Far
To answer the question let’s look at the evidence CBD oil has shown a lot of promise and we do know that hemp-based oils are effective as well. This is especially true when it comes to things like social anxiety but even more extreme conditions like PTSD have shown some success for being treated with CBD oils.
So, I think it’s fair to conclude that anyone suffering from anxiety and depression should at least try CBD oils. Research is still ongoing but there is a lot of evidence to support the belief that they could be very helpful.
