BEACHWOOD, Ohio — OVI, Interstate 271: At 2:05 a.m. Feb. 6, police arrested a Willoughby man, 23, for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
In addition, it was discovered that the man was driving a stolen car. The man was further charged with grand theft, receiving stolen property, having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, obstructing official business and reckless operation.
Theft, Chagrin Boulevard: At 6:45 p.m. Feb. 6, a Cleveland man, 25, was arrested for shoplifting goods worth $134 from Giant Eagle, 24601 Chagrin Blvd.
Fraud, Alsace Court: At 8:45 a.m. Feb. 6, a woman reported that she had been the victim of computer fraud after she responded to a pop-up ad. The woman lost about $1,000.
Theft, Cedar Road: At 5 p.m. Feb. 6, a Broadview Heights man, 19, was arrested for theft after he had made fraudulent returns of merchandise at Nordstrom at Beachwood Place mall, 26300 Cedar Road. The false returns totaled $987.
Marijuana possession, George Zeiger Drive: At 4:05 p.m. Feb. 6, a car driven by a Cleveland woman, 26, was stopped, as the woman was found to be driving with a suspended license. She was further charged with marijuana possession.
A male passenger, 30, also of Cleveland, was charged with wrongful entrustment of his automobile to the woman. He was also arrested on a warrant.
Marijuana possession, Chagrin Boulevard: Just after midnight Feb. 8, police stopped a car that was bearing fictitious license plates. The plates had expired in 2016.
The driver, a Cleveland man, 18, was arrested after failing to identify himself and refusing to comply with police orders. He was also charged with operating a vehicle without a license and possession of marijuana.
A passenger in the car, also an 18-year-old Cleveland man, was charged with underage possession of an alcoholic beverage and marijuana possession.
A second passenger, a Shaker Heights boy, 17, was in possession of CBD oil (a chemical compound in marijuana) and tobacco products.
OVI, Amhearst Circle: At 11:15 p.m. Feb. 9, after a car crash, one of the involved drivers, a Beachwood woman, 22, was charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence.
Driving under suspension, Richmond Road: At 10:10 p.m. Feb. 10, police stopped a car that was being driven with only one working headlight. The driver, a Cleveland woman, 29, was charged with driving with a suspended license and marijuana possession.
Theft, Chagrin Boulevard: At 2:10 p.m. Feb. 10, two women stole merchandise worth $560 from Sally Beauty Supply, 24205 Chagrin Blvd. The women were not apprehended.
OVI, Richmond Road: At 2:55 a.m. Feb. 10, police arrested a Cleveland Heights man, 21, for drunk driving.
