The 2017 legalization of marijuana in Nevada wasn’t just good news for people who enjoy the recreational aspect of cannabis. The decision also offered relief to those looking to benefit from the medicinal aspects of marijuana. For individuals exclusively interested in pain alleviation, CBD oil offers the healing power of marijuana without the psychoactive effect of THC. CBD oil is easy to find at dispensaries across Las Vegas — including one business called Buy Legal Meds that opened in 2018 as the world’s first CBD store — but it’s also available at some of the same places where diners are already getting their coffee, tea, and smoothies.
Here are four restaurants in Las Vegas where CBD-infused drinks are available:
CBD Iced Tea
On a hot summer day in Las Vegas, diners can head to either of VegeNation’s locations for sweet CBD iced tea. The plant-based restaurant, which has locations in Downtown Las Vegas and Henderson, also has hot CBD Feel Good Tea (a ginger tea infused with CBD oil) for those chilly desert nights as well.
VegeNation, 616 Carson Ave., Suite 120; 702-366-8515; 10075 S. Eastern Ave., Henderson, 702-527-7663
CBD Smoothies, Juice and Tea
Ah-Sah-EE (the phonetic spelling of the hard-to-pronounce word “acai”) is a casual vegan restaurant in Silverado Ranch that offers smoothies, juices, tea, and a create-your-own option that allows diners to customize their own smoothie bowls. CBD oil can be added to any beverage for $3.
Ah-Sah-EE Cafe, 9635 Bermuda Road; 702-462-5065
CBD Drinks Downtown
Juice Stars, which occupies the former space of Smooth Eats just off of Fremont Street, has carried on the tradition of its predecessor by offering CBD oil to diners who are interested in adding it to the restaurant’s signature juices and smoothies. Options include simple fresh squeezed orange juice, green varieties with spinach and kale, and booster shots designed to provide immunity-boosting power, detox and energy.
