Chronic Pain Management and CBD Technology


Approximately
50 million Americans – slightly more than 20% of the adult population – live

Overall,
CBD shows promise as a potential treatment of various autoimmune diseases,
neurological conditions including dementia and Alzheimer’s, childhood epilepsy,
gut disorders, skin diseases, and cardiovascular dysfunction. It can also be
used to relieve symptoms of certain mental disorders like anxiety, depression,
PTSD and ADHD.

Historically,
however, one of the earliest uses of cannabis was to treat pain. Cannabidiol is
a powerful antioxidant that has anti-inflammatory effects. It allows easing
pain in patients with chronic inflammatory conditions like arthritis and
asthma. Also, its influence on the endocannabinoid system allows CBD to have an
analgesic effect that changes the way pain is perceived by the brain.
Cannabidiol enhances the production and effects of various neurotransmitters
like serotonin and anandamide that are involved in how the body regulates and
reacts to pain.

Along with
